Every year the budget briefing is given in the National Assembly of Pakistan. In this budget briefing the budget of expenses and estimated revenues from national institutes is measured and distributed between the federal and provincial governments. Afterwards the budget is then approved by the members of the national assembly later signed by the cabinet and the president of Pakistan.
The budget briefing is an overview of old and new taxes new withholding taxes and indirect taxes, these taxes are imposed on the population of the country in accordance with slab rates. Once these taxes are approved by the parliament the federal and provincial revenue authorities start collecting it in their normal course of duties.
